IED Public Lectures Spring Term 2012

Carbon Crisis and Energy Decisions

ESC_Logo_4-farbig

In spring 2012, as in several previous terms, the IED public lecture series will focus on energy. This is meant to illustrate that energy is one of today’s most topical issues. This time, we have invited three ETH professors and scientists – two of them IED members – to report on current projects and research results. Dr. Timo Busch will present an approach for repositioning business models in order to enable a sustainable global economy in the face of carbon constraints. Professor Wallbaum will talk about energy and resource efficiency in construction as influenced by rational and emotional drivers, and Professor Siegrist will analyse decisions in favour of or against specific energy systems from a consumer’s perspective.
